UOL Relief carries out relief efforts through its overgrowing community of volunteers comprising of students from University of Lahore. Volunteers are especially trained and encouraged to develop compassion, empathy and selflessness, while performing different tasks, both on the field and off it.

More than 400 students are part of the volunteering program of UOL Relief. A valuable asset, they are always at the forefront, overcoming all kinds of hurdles and challenges, materializing the organization’s vision of developing and strengthening communities. A large section of our volunteers and community mobilizers belong to different cultural backgrounds. This diversity enables UOL Relief to work effectively and efficiently in various regions across Pakistan.

The main component of the volunteer program is its Search and Rescue Team. The concept of establishing a Search and Rescue Department stemmed from the need to approach hard to reach areas during a calamity. University of Lahore is the only educational institute that has been training students professionally for years. Hence UOL Relief is privileged to have a team of highly trained volunteers, always ready and prepared for any rescue and relief mission, in all kinds of weather conditions and terrains. Therefore, when students sign up with UOL Relief, they do not just become volunteers. They become heroes.
